Biography

Xander came to our attention when his owner phoned us asking if we may take him on. We went out to see him and found this skinny older gelding and immediately worried about him. His owner informed us he hadn't owned him for long and he'd begun to build up his condition however he'd suffered an abcess that had undone all the work he'd done. That combined with the fact Xander was clearly not getting nearly enough roughage living in a sand paddock meant the poor fellow was not in ideal condition.

We did a little delving into Xander's background and we spoke to a reputable Veterinarian who knew the gelding and they recommended we take him on and so we did.

Xander is now with one of SC's foster carers beginning his journey to full health and condition.
