Biography

This little girl is one of three mares that was sold into Second Chance's care for the grand total of $1. She and 4 others had escaped from their home and been found wandering. They were impounded and the owner notified however he took back 2 of the horses and left the others to their fate. Luckily for this girl Second Chance was notified of their plight and we contacted the authorities to confirm we would help if we could.

She wasn't originally going to come to Second Chance however when nobody turned up to the auction conducted by the council to buy her, the Rangers sold her to Second Chance to provide her with a better life. Her foster carers spend a lot of time working with her to ensure she's happy to be handled and is comfortable in her ground work. Over time Star has gone from being a terrified timid mare into a well mannered, inquisitive and positively lovable horse with a cheeky personality that endears her to all her visitors.

Star has been Adopted!

Star has been adopted into a very loving home with one of SC's long standing members where she has been promised the very best of care and training.
