What is sponsorship?
During the time after rescue, our horses & ponies require significant rehabilitation in order to heal both physically & emotionally. This often requires substantial financial cost in the form of veterinary care and specialist retraining. Our carefully selected foster carers require support from time to time, and this is where sponsorship plays a vital role. With this support, the equine's health & well being is restored, which leads to our ultimate goal; permanent adoption.
Which horses can I sponsor?

What level of sponsorship can I contribute?
Individual
$40 per month:
- Laminated Sponsorship Certificate
- Monthly updates, keeping you informed of your sponsored equine's progress and latest developments in his/her life.
- A chance to meet your sponsored horse subject to circumstances & availability.
- The knowledge that you're directly contributing to the welfare & rehabilitation of an equine friend in need
Individual Blue Ribbon
$60 per month:
- Framed Sponsorship Certificate
- Your choice of 1 x SC t-shirt or cap (minimum 3 months sponsorship)
- Monthly updates, keeping you informed of your sponsored equine's progress and latest developments in his/her life.
- A chance to meet your sponsored horse subject to circumstances & availability.
- Feature article in one SC Member's newsletter
- The knowledge that you're directly contributing to the welfare & rehabilitation of an equine friend in need.
Club or Group Sponsorship
$50 per month:
- Laminated Sponsorship Certificate with the club's name
- Monthly updates, keeping you informed of your sponsored equine's progress and latest developments in his/her life.
- Free newsletters for club room
- 25% discount on workshops & clinics organized by Second Chance Horse Rescue Inc (minimum three months sponsorship)
- A chance to meet your sponsored horse subject to circumstances & availability.
- Feature article of your club in one of our widely distributed newsletters
- The knowledge that you're directly contributing to the welfare & rehabilitation of an equine friend in need.
Can I contribute any personal items for my sponsored horse or pony?
Of course! Once processed, your sponsorship package will include an optional 'wish list' which includes items that your sponsored horse may specifically need. You may choose provide these during a scheduled visit, or prefer for the foster carer to buy on your behalf (with payment).
