Shishka
Second Chance's Shishka |
|
Biography |
This stunning mare was one of 6 animals we were called out to when their owner passed away. Second Chance received an emergency call from the WA Donkey Society who had been called to pick up two donkeys but what they had found had shocked and horrified them, and they were not in a position to deal with what they had found. Shishka has a very sweet nature and is apparently both saddle and harness broke. She is the mother of the Mule Baringa and she has an enlarged lymph-node which means she will be placed into isolation until we get the all-clear from the Veterinarians that she doesn't have anything contagious. Shishka's hooves are also horrendously overgrown and will be seen to as soon as humanly possible so she may stand and walk comfortably. Shishka is already highly popular and she is a rare Silver Dapple colour, also known as Taffy. Her name is Japanese for 'gentle', and she was named by one of SC's Field Officer's attending on the day.
