Sam
Second Chance's Samuel |

Biography |
Sam first came to our attention when his owner contacted us asking for help. She had been told to remove him from his agistment paddock but was unable to due to financial difficulties. Sam had been shut in a small yard constructed of loose ringlock and barbed wire with 2 other horses. The horses had no shelter in their yard and had been without water for approximately 48 hours, and without feed for 3 days. After discussing the situation with the owner of the property and the owner of Sam, Second Chance agreed to accept him as a surrender. Sam came to us with a body score of 2, dehydrated and very hungry. Sam was also wormy, his hooves were overdue for a trim and his teeth have not been done in a very long time. Sam also had a small cut on his muzzle which occured whilst he was in the yard. |
