Murphy
Second Chance's Murphy |
|
Biography |
This handsome young colt came to our attention when we were called out to when their owner passed away. Second Chance received an emergency call from the WA Donkey Society who had been called to pick up two donkeys but what they had found had shocked and horrified them, and they were not in a position to deal with what they had found. Murphy is a Mule (horse mother, donkey father) and he is a rare Silver Dapple colour which is also known as Taffy. Murphy was surrendered to us unhandled however would come to you for a pat if you stood quietly as he was very shy amongst people. In order to move him safely, Second Chance Field Officers and volunteers spent two weeks going out daily to the property to feed, water, halter train and get him comfortable walking into the trailer. When he was ready, Murphy was moved along with his mother, Shishka to a foster home to continue with his basic training. Murphy was named by one of the WA Donkey Society volunteers who was helping with the case on the day and then Adopted and provided with a home by that same person. |
