Biography

Jazz is a tall, sweet natured mare and was surrendered to Second Chance by her owner when she was unable to continue caring for her. Her owner just was not financially able to feed or pay agistment for her and the agistment owner was feeding the mare because the owner could not. When her owner was given an ultimatum to move the horse they contacted us asking if we would accept her as a surrender.

She arrived to us with a body score of 2, a uterus infection and needing dental and veterinary attention. We expect that she will heal up and gain weight quickly with good care and will make a very nice riding horse for somebody once she is ready as with her excellent temperament and willingness to please she has already begun stealing hearts among her carers and Second Chance Field Officers.
