Biography |
Harmony came to our attention when a concerned person notified us of her plight. We origionally went to see another mare on the same property (SC's Asha) however we could clearly see that without intervention and correct care, she would very quickly end up looking like Asha. We were told that neither mare nor the others owned by this person had been fed in 4 days at the time of our visit. Harmony is very defensive and will attempt to threaten people to get them to leave her alone. She was exceptionally hungry which we believe added to her behaviour and she is also in foal, due in September. The sire is an partbred Arabian with a pinto colouring. We have discovered that Harmony is very mistrustful of men however seems much more comfortable being handled by women. Harmony is unregistered and we are going to try to find out more about her, but it is possible her past may be shrouded in mystery forever.
