Second Chance's Gypsy

Biography

Gypsy was found wandering the roads close to a highway and was impounded on a local property along with another filly and a pony. Her owners were located after a few days of digging on behalf of the local Rangers and promptly surrendered her into the ownership of the Shire. As she was obviously very timid and required a lot of care, the Rangers contacted us asking if we could take her in along with another filly also found and impounded.

Her condition was poor, especially for a mare so young. She had a body score of 2.5 on arrival, had badly neglected hooves and had a worm infestation. She immediately went to a very experienced horse trainer for fostering and once she was started under saddle and physically brought up to scratch she was quickly rehomed to a Second Chance member.

Gypsy has been Adopted into the same home as SC's Tsakani after they met and bonded with her at the same foster home when visiting Tsakani. Please check back for photos and updates as we get them.
