Biography

This girl was found wandering the roads close to a highway and was impounded on a local property. Her owners were located after a few days of digging on behalf of the local Rangers and refused outright to come and collect her. As she was obviously very timid and required a lot of care, the Rangers contacted us asking if we could take her in along with another filly also found and impounded.

Her condition was poor, especially for a mare so young. She had a body score of 2 on arrival, had badly neglected hooves and had a worm infestation. She was originally fostered by a very experienced horse trainer and is now being cared for by another experienced Second Chance carer who is continuing to work with her.

Grace is now available for Adoption. Unfortunately an old injury to her hock means she will never be ridable however she would be a good weanling Nanny, a Natural Horsemanship ground-work horse, a good companion and pet. Grace has a wonderful temperament and a playful nature. She gets along well with other horses and is a sensible girl.
