Biography

Destiny and her foal were purchased by a very concerned member of the public and then brought to Second Chance for rehabilitation. Their former owner was unable to provide everything they needed for good care and both were in terrible condition.

Destiny was very underweight, a body score of 1. She had badly neglected hooves, a worm burden and her teeth had never had attention and in desperate need of work. Due to the light pigment of her skin and lack of management, Destiny had developed cancerous tissue on her 3rd eyelids in both eyes which will be surgically removed as soon as she is well enough for surgery. Her initial Veterinary examination showed that despite all she has been through, with good care and the surgery Destiny will recover 100%.

She has a superb temperament and is very willing and amiable for a mare we suspect has had very little handling and work in her life.
